heinzelpaper brings together packaging paper production, wood processing and energy generation at its Laakirchen and Steyrermühl sites. We use recycled fibres and wood from FSC®- or PEFC-certified forests, further process residual and by-products, and generate energy from hydropower, biogas and photovoltaic systems.
Founded in 1867 and 1868, our mills have continuously evolved over more than 150 years. What began as paper mills on the River Traun has grown into an internationally active production network for paper and wood products.
Our products
We manufacture packaging papers and sawn timber products using recycled fibres and renewable raw materials. Our paper products are recyclable. We work to minimise waste and make use of residual materials and by-products within our production processes.

Heinzelpaper with its production sites in Laakirchen and Steyrermühl is a subsidiary of the international Heinzel Group which produces market pulp, packaging paper and magazine paper at four mills in Europe and trades pulp, paper, waste paper and containerboard worldwide.
