Heinzelpaper, together with the two mills Laakirchen and Steyrermühl, forms a center for sustainable packaging paper, wood processing, and renewable energy – driven by innovation and proud tradition. Our roots go back to the 19th century, when the paper mills in Laakirchen and Steyrermühl were founded in 1867 and 1868. Since then, we have developed from small papermakers on the River Traun to internationally renowned paper producers.
Our products
We manufacture sustainable packaging papers and sawn wood products made from recycled or renewable materials that are recyclable. We minimize waste, and utilize residual materials and by-products both materially and energetically in the spirit of a sustainable circular economy.

We ensure that our resources are used responsibly and are continuously working on optimizing our production processes in order to reduce the consumption of raw materials, water and energy.

Heinzelpaper with its production sites in Laakirchen and Steyrermühl is a subsidiary of the international Heinzel Group which produces market pulp, packaging paper and magazine paper at four mills in Europe and trades pulp, paper, waste paper and containerboard worldwide. Sustainability is the focus of all our activities.
